Appraisers See ‘Existential Threat’ to Industry Regulation With Broad Exemption for Federally-Related Transactions

Two appraiser trade groups raised concerns this week that federal banking regulators are re-interpreting longstanding policy to exempt most of the mortgage market from appraisal rules.
