Non-Prime Mortgage Originations Fall To a 17 Year Low in 2008 at $64.0 Billion

Originations of subprime, Alt A and “other” non-prime mortgages all but stopped in 2008. Only an estimated $64.0 billion in such mortgages were originated last year, according to a new ranking and analysis by Inside B&C Lending.
