HUD Midyear Agenda Shows 2006 May Be a Slow Rulemaking Year

The Department of Housing and Urban Development will either propose or finalize measures that would improve consumer protection and FHA oversight, and make FHA products more appealing to borrowers, according to HUD’s rulemaking agenda for the coming year. HUD’s latest semiannual regulatory agenda published in the Federal Register showed a preponderance of rulemaking aimed at improving FHA oversight.
